Vocational Manager

Heartland Habilitative Services (Heartland) is seeking a detail oriented, team building leader for a Vocational Manager position
to manage staff and vocational programming. This position ensures proper supports are provided to the persons with
developmental disabilities in a vocational work environment.

Duties include:

  • Supervising staff and day to day activities within the vocational site.
  • Writing programs for the individuals being supported.
  • Ensuring proper documentation occurs, and individual programming is meeting requirements.
  • Teaching life and vocational improving concepts.
  • Assisting with staffing and attend ISP team meetings.
  • Providing direct support in the vocational setting.
  • The ability to problem solve, complete detailed documentation, supervise staff, write programs and reports, interact with a wide variety of people and work a weekend on-call rotation is required.

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL:

  • Possess a B.A. or B.S in related Human Service field in addition to two or more years of related experience working with Developmentally Disabled individuals OR a combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a combination of experience and a college degree. - Preferred
  • Have a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation. - Required
  • Be able to successfully complete and pass all background checks including DMV, and Nebraska Adult and Child Protective Services Central Registry, criminal checks and references. - Required
